These skills are essential not only for starting your own business, but also for working successfully in established companies. Specifically, entrepreneurship education means the targeted acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities that are indispensable for successfully founding or managing a company and acting independently in everyday life.

Make your idea flyDigitalSTARTer Competition
“Get off to a digital entrepreneurial start!” is the motto of the “DigitalSTARTer in Lower Saxony” competition.
The aim of the competition is to prepare pupils for the challenges of work in the future. They should learn to work as a team in a self-reliant and practical manner from the idea stage to its realisation. The competition focuses on the creative development of ideas in the field of digitalisation and artificial intelligence. The content on founding a digital start-up is taught in a fun way on a digital platform.
Participation in the competition does not require any prior knowledge on the part of the students or teachers. Ready-made materials and comprehensive support from experts at every stage of the competition minimise the workload for teachers. The competition is aimed at the subjects of general studies, social studies, politics and economics, philosophy, fine arts, technology and computer science. Those interested from outside the school system are also welcome to take part.
The Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation, in cooperation with the Lower Saxony startup initiative startup.niedersachsen have organised a digital startup competition for secondary school pupils from years 8 to 13.
Teacher qualification in the field of entrepreneurship education
In cooperation with the Institute for Economic Education in Oldenburg, we have developed and implemented a training course for teachers, trainee and student teachers in the field of entrepreneurship education. Our aim is to support teachers in teaching entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour in an innovative and practical way in the classroom.
Our training programme focuses on providing participants with the necessary methods and tools for successful entrepreneurship education. We believe that entrepreneurship should be an important part of modern education in order to prepare young people for the challenges of today’s world of work and to foster their creativity and entrepreneurial thinking.
During the course, participants will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with and try out various teaching materials. These materials have been created by experienced experts and are also available to participants after the training programme. It is important to us that the teachers receive the necessary resources to organise and convey the teaching content in a clear and practical way.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Books on entrepreneurship education
Despite the digital world, books are still a great social asset. We have acquired over 1000 books on entrepreneurship education available as a free-of-charge resource for teachers and students and schools. Our goal is to build a broad knowledge base on entrepreneurship and facilitate access to these educational resources digitally and as books.
A variety of topics focusing on entrepreneurial skills, role models and social entrepreneurship are covered. We aim to inspire and support the next generation of entrepreneurs by providing them with high-quality learning materials based on real-life success stories.
We want to encourage students to think creatively, take risks and develop innovative solutions to problems. Because we firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to realise their own ideas and positively influence society.
